The biggest (and cheapest!) change we made was painting the trim and floors blue. We went with Colonial Aqua by PPG on all the trim, closet doors, and built-ins and Cathedral Glass by PPG on the floors. I love the subtle contrast between the two shades.

We added this beautiful green Loloi Rug as the finishing touch to the space and I gasped when we rolled it out. The perfect shade of sage-y green to complement the blue and it’s easy to build blocks on without them toppling over. Handmade, GoodWeave certified, and 100% wool! In love!
I was able to make most of the kids quilts and pillowcases from a mix of sheets and duvets I thrifted. The artwork, glass sconce, and green metal chair was thrifted as well. I’ve found buying pieces secondhand is the cheapest way to redesign a space + it adds such a unique look. Everything has changed so drastically from my original mood board and I love that!
It’s a small space for all three of the kids to share, but I feel like we’ve made the most of it and love how it turned out.
